Phillip is revealed to have released the tape under Lawrence’s blackmail. Jack stands Jennifer up for dinner, secretly gambling with Billie and winning $15,000. When Jennifer smells smoke and finds poker chips, she explodes, convinced he’s lying. Jack fails to explain. Carly returns to Salem and reunites with Bo. Lawrence manipulates her into staying at the Alamain mansion during her recovery, moving himself to the guest house. Bo reluctantly agrees for Nikki’s sake. Roman admits he forced Carrie to break up with Austin to “protect” her. Marlena condemns the emotional blackmail, but they reconcile. Vivian, dying, reveals her final scheme: she’ll frame Carly for murdering her so Carly loses Nikki forever, ensuring Vivian has the last laugh even from the grave.
