Carrie is devastated to learn the acid burned her face and fears permanent scarring. Roman comforts her, then threatens Austin outside her room, warning him to stay away. Austin refuses to leave Salem. Nicholas testifies he accidentally pushed Lisanne onto the stone cat. Judge Carrington rules the death accidental and seals all records, declining to prosecute Carly, Lawrence, or Vivian. Lawrence and Carly prepare to tell Nicholas they’re his biological parents. Vivian, afraid of losing him, reluctantly agrees. After the hearing, Lawrence summons Carly to the Alamain house to reveal the truth, and she goes with Bo’s support. Kate finds Jack’s manuscript in her filing cabinet with Victor’s cryptic note and begins reading, disturbed by something she recognizes. Jack fails to steal it back while Jennifer interviews Kate. At the pub, Jennifer warns Jack not to cross Victor and questions Kate’s odd interest in her family, unaware Kate knows she’s Bill Horton’s daughter.
