Bo proposes again and Carly accepts. They borrow Lawrence’s limo and spend the night on Bo’s boat, unaware Lawrence is watching. Alone later, he retrieves a hidden gun and vows to destroy them from within. At Victor’s party, John and Marlena share a passionate encounter in an office — witnessed by Sami. Marlena tearfully insists it must be their last time; she’ll stay faithful to Roman. John argues they can’t resist each other, but she ends it. Outside the party, Gus attacks Carrie and Austin with acid. Carrie takes the hit to save Austin and is rushed to the hospital with severe burns. At the hospital, Sami grows cold and distant. After seeing John secretly squeeze Marlena’s hand, she decides it’s time to tell Roman what she knows. The next morning, Carly returns to her hotel room — Lawrence is waiting in the dark, greeting her with a chilling “Good morning.”
