Lawrence confesses to accidentally killing Lisanne and is released on bail, leaving Carly desperate to explain herself to Bo but unable to reveal Nikki’s role. Vivian pushes ahead with plans to flee Salem with Nikki. Austin tears up Gus’s fight contract and brawls with him until John intervenes; Gus later gets acid, vowing Austin will go down with him. Billie steals Jack’s manuscript to use at Victor’s party, while Jack insists he’ll find another way to get the money. Marlena and Roman remain strained over her Bella job. At the pub, John plays Rapture, triggering Marlena’s memory of their intimate night — “She gently places it in his mouth… she slowly licks the cream from his lips.” Overwhelmed, she flees. Carly tells Jennifer she’s leaving Salem with Nikki that night to protect him.
