Carrie storms out, and Roman and Marlena argue about trust and her Bella job offer before he’s called to the station. Lawrence pressures Carly to take Nikki to Europe; she reluctantly agrees until Roman summons her, suspecting Lawrence is plotting. Victor recruits John to Bella’s editorial board, tying it to Isabella’s memory so John can’t refuse. Billie urges Jack to pitch his novel at Victor’s party, then steals the manuscript to submit under a pseudonym. Marlena accepts Victor’s offer on the condition he doesn’t interfere and agrees to attend the party. Lawrence hints he won’t stay behind bars long.
