Carly resolves to tell Nicholas that she's his biological mother. John decides to stay in Salem, surprising Victor. Marlena wakes from a disturbing plane-related nightmare where she says she can't do "this" to Roman. When Roman asks about her distress, she deflects by blaming concern for Kimberly. Roman finds it odd that John suddenly decided to stay in Salem. After Sami interrupts with breakfast, Marlena agrees to let her stay. At the hospital, Marlena and Kimberly have a therapy session where both avoid discussing their real problems. Kim senses Marlena is hiding something about John, but Marlena refuses to discuss him. After the session, Marlena encounters John outside her office.
