Lawrence, Carly, and Vivian panic when a TV investigation into Lisanne’s death resurfaces. Nicholas overhears and grows suspicious. At the station, Bo gets a break in the case when a hooker identifies Lawrence as a man seen in the woods the night Lisanne died. At Wings, Jack searches for the man in the red carnation linked to Billie’s money scheme, humiliating himself when he approaches the wrong person. Billie, unaware of the ad, misses the meeting entirely. At Roman and Marlena’s anniversary party, John arrives unexpectedly after his delayed flight. Marlena—already shaken from their passionate encounter on the plane—is devastated. Upstairs, they confront their feelings: she insists on loyalty to Roman, while John says he can’t leave or pretend nothing happened. She begs him to go, but can’t force the words. When Roman returns, John shocks everyone by announcing he’s staying in Salem. Marlena realizes everything is about to unravel.
