Wracked with guilt, Marlena returns home to discover a surprise anniversary party celebrating her marriage to Roman. As family and friends offer well-wishes, Marlena struggles to maintain composure, devastated by her infidelity on her anniversary. Roman gives an emotional toast, declaring his deepening love for his "faithful" wife as thunder ominously crashes outside. When Roman and Marlena kiss, she fights back tears. The episode ends with John arriving at their front door as Marlena sits emotionally shattered in Roman's arms.
