Jennifer’s interview with John and Marlena turns uncomfortably personal as she presses them about lingering feelings; Phillip encourages it for ratings but later fires her when executives reject her childcare ultimatum. Lawrence and Carly continue hiding the truth from Nikki—that they’re his parents and Lisanne’s death wasn’t accidental. Nikki grows suspicious after hearing Lisanne claimed Lawrence was his father. Carly urges honesty; Lawrence refuses. Rebecca tells John she saw in the interview that he’s still in love with Marlena. At Wings, tensions rise: Lawrence and Carly dine to discuss Nikki, Bo arrives with Taylor and bristles at seeing Carly with Lawrence, and John’s dinner with Rebecca becomes flirtatious.
