On Christmas Eve, Bo intercepts Vivian and Colonel Brant during their attempted escape. Vivian pleads that Nikki is the glue holding Lawrence and Carly together, but Bo refuses to let them go. At Carrie’s apartment, John and Marlena confront her about the stolen check. Carrie admits she used it for rent and gave some to Billie, begging them not to tell Roman. After they leave, Billie thanks her, but Carrie stresses she did it for Austin, crushed by John and Marlena’s disappointment. The Hortons gather for their traditional Christmas celebration. Jack gifts Jo a “#1 Grandma” locket, touching her deeply. Later, he learns Suzanna Cooper has been fired and his book deal is gone. At the hospital chapel, Tom asks Jack to read from the Horton Bible. Despite hesitation, Jack delivers a heartfelt reading while Jennifer watches proudly. Carrie arrives and joins John and Marlena as the family celebrates together.
