Marlena recovers in the hospital, shaken but comforted by Roman, who promises never to leave her again. She and John vow to cherish their second chance after his rescue saved her life. On the eve of their wedding, Carly and Bo reaffirm their love, but Lawrence arrives with a music box and a photo of Nikki, urging Carly to postpone the ceremony so Bo can bond with the boy. Carly refuses, insisting Bo will accept Nikki as part of her. Jack learns his manuscript has been rejected but discovers agent Suzanna Cooper is interested. Determined to provide for his family, he surprises Jennifer with a large Christmas tree and privately vows to sell his book and reclaim the Spectator, promising Abigail they’ll never be poor again. At the Alamain mansion, Vivian ominously tells Lawrence the upcoming party will be his last time seeing Nikki, blaming Carly—hinting at her plan to separate mother and son.
