Philip hides this from Kim, who later leaves for the Arts Council Ball dressed unexpectedly. At the ball, Claire is recognized by a man she slept with. Roman and Marlena grow strained as he feels distant. Marlena convinces Roman to visit John, who is watching Isabella’s tape asking Marlena to care for him. John agrees to attend the benefit and arrives on Marlena’s arm, causing tension when photographers assume he’s her husband. Jack negotiates writing a column from home while caring for Abigail. At the benefit, he struggles with jealousy as photographers focus on Jennifer. Vivian returns and Lisanne hints she knows about her talk with Marie‑Helene regarding Nicholas.
