Kim has mysterious bruises on her chest; Shane insists on a doctor's visit to Marcus, who discovers her medication is causing personality changes and mood swings. Kim confides to Caroline that the medicine was responsible for her strange behavior. Meanwhile, Roman investigates Randy's murder, finding a matchbook from Casey's Roadhouse at the crime scene. The matchbook leads him to discover Roger was at the bar. Roger struggles with sobriety after getting drunk; Marlena supports him but recognizes their relationship has become too personal and ends his treatment. When Stella learns about their closeness, she goes to the warehouse seeking Roger and discovers Marlena's red dress and a portrait of Marlena painted by Roger. Enraged and unstable, Stella destroys the dress with acetone. Separately, Kim finds a bloodstained matchbook from Casey's Roadhouse in her dresser, suggesting possible involvement in Randy's death.
