Shane’s threat to seek custody triggers Kim’s traumatic flashback of childhood abuse. Shaken, she retreats, then shifts into her alter ego Lacey and heads to Casey’s Roadhouse. Jack panics watching Jennifer’s show when she seems to go into labor and rushes to New York, only to learn it was false. Determined to protect their future, he insists they drive back to Salem immediately, and they reconcile. At the Brady Pub opening, Austin and Billie perform, upsetting Carrie, who attends with Tim after he injures his finger helping her. Roger kisses Marlena during a portrait sitting; she attributes it to transference. Later at Casey’s, he sketches her, drinks heavily, and burns the drawing as Lacey enters. Kim’s fragmentation worsens, while Stella grows increasingly jealous of Roger’s fixation on Marlena.
