At the newspaper, Jack refuses the editor position to protect Vern's job, instead accepting entry-level reporter work, impressing Julie with his changed priorities. Mickey makes Lisanne a full business partner after she promises wealthy clients. Vivian proceeds with a forged codicil to Leopold's will despite Lisanne's suspicions.
