Jack develops a mysterious rash and visits the hospital, where he becomes increasingly paranoid that doctors are lying to him. Meanwhile, Jennifer discovers a letter she believes Jack wrote to another woman ("baby"), convincing her he's unfaithful. Despite Brian's attempts to reassure her, Jennifer packs and leaves for her grandparents' house. Lawrence tells Carly he's changed since learning his son is alive and wants to start fresh with her. Lisanne seeks Lawrence's help reconnecting with Salem's influential people and donates to the hospital trauma center to rebuild her reputation. Carrie and Jesse spend the night together in a barn to escape family troubles. Jack, ready to confess his love to Jennifer and tell her the truth, returns home to find the apartment empty. Jennifer mourns the separation at her grandparents' house. Both are devastated, their relationship hanging in the balance over a misunderstanding.
