Their intimate moment ends when they discover someone has been secretly filming Roman and Marlena. Jack stages an over-the-top “Birthday Week” to make up for forgetting Jennifer’s birthday, but she doubts his sincerity. Hawk’s presence complicates things—Jack tries to push him out while Jennifer keeps inviting him back. Jack’s awkward speech disappoints her further. Later, Jennifer confronts him, and he blames Hawk instead of owning his mistake. She warns he’s responsible for his actions as Hawk listens outside their door.
