They're forced to stay another night. Roman officially proposes to Isabella with an engagement ring and announces their engagement to the family. Watching from outside, Marlena is devastated. She visits a church where she pours her heart out to a minister, confessing her enduring love for Roman. In an emotional montage set to "Love Lift Us Up Where We Belong," Marlena watches Roman and Isabella together while remembering precious moments from her marriage, their reunion, proposal, and wedding, tears streaming down her face as she realizes she's lost him.
