Jack warns against contacting his lawyer, but Jennifer pursues it anyway. Bo recovers in the hospital with Carly and Isabella running interference. Victor's letter reveals he risked his life obtaining Bo's cure, though Carly admits she had to complete it. Victor pressures Carly to move back home and accept a bodyguard. Kim suspects a vineyard connection to Lawrence's crimes and arranges an undercover mission with Shane, who must cancel dinner with Kayla. On the plane, Shane receives a wedding ring ”their cover requires them to pose as a married couple, visibly unsettling him despite having just told Kayla he loves her. Marlena, traveling home after five years away, waits at a bus station, disoriented by changes in the world around her. Isabella attempts calling Roman about complications with Bo, learning he'll return tomorrow.
