Justin feels torn between loyalty to Victor and honesty with Adrienne. Victor warns him to keep business secrets, and when Adrienne learns the car crash was deliberate, she fears for Justin’s safety. Justin refuses to leave Salem, accepts Victor’s heirloom pocket watch, and sings “If It’s Magic” to Adrienne, asking whether she can accept his future in Victor’s world. Steve continues his undercover mission in Washington, breaking into ISA headquarters with Daniels to steal a disk. He destroys the printed file, then sees Daniels deliver the disk to Victor, realizing Victor is the true mastermind behind the operation and that the scheme is far bigger than he knew. At the hospital, Bill and Mike’s surgical tension dissolves after a successful operation. Bill’s skill impresses Mike, and when Janice praises Bill’s work, Mike decides to stay at the hospital and learn from him.
