Frankie and Max are officially adopted by the Brady family. Frankie receives a nameplate from Jennifer, and despite Max's initial silence in court (due to lost teeth), the judge approves the adoption. The boys celebrate becoming Frankie and Max Brady. Meanwhile, Steve works with Jack and Kai to trap Dr. Simon Hopkins and prove Steve's innocence in the Harper shooting. They stage a confrontation in the senator's hospital room, with Kai disguised as Harper. When Simon confesses to attempting Harper's murder and pulls a gun, Steve reveals himself. Roman arrives with his gun drawn, but Simon takes Alice hostage as leverage to escape, threatening to kill her if his demands aren't met. The situation becomes a standoff as Roman negotiates with the desperate doctor.
