After Adrienne catches him lying, he apologizes with a small romantic gesture, and they plan to leave together later. Calliope warns of Eugene’s premonition involving danger for Steve and Kayla. A braided man arrives in Salem intending to kill Mike. When Kayla is asked to fetch Mike for an urgent lab message, Steve insists on escorting her. A man emerges from a manhole near the lab and flees just before they arrive. Harper unexpectedly appears at the gala. As Steve walks Kayla downstairs, the sabotaged lab collapses, trapping them inside.
