Barbara reveals on her deathbed that Teddy is Andrew, Paul's son, shocking everyone. She confesses to killing Emma to protect Teddy, exonerating Kim of the murder. Barbara dies after Paul says goodbye. Shane secures Abe as a witness and rushes to the prison to tell Kim the truth before she leaves. Meanwhile, Duke violently pursues Jo at the clinic, beating her when she refuses to press charges to protect her husband. Steve and Kayla intervene with police, then bring Jo and Adrienne to the shelter for safety. In lighter moments, Steve and Kayla share a romantic pool game at the Cheatin' Heart, playing for kisses and deepening their connection. Frankie paints Jennifer's portrait and kisses her; Jennifer is initially receptive but runs off.
