Steve nearly shoots Duke after learning he beat his mother, but Kayla intervenes and convinces him to lower the gun. Inspired by Steve's protection, Jo finally leaves Duke and goes to a women's shelter with Adrienne's help. Steve offers Adrienne his gun for safety. Meanwhile, Shane discovers that Paul's son Teddy is actually Andrew the baby Barbara stole. He tells Roman to arrest Barbara at Shenanigans. Panicked when Paul mentions showing Shane Teddy's picture, Barbara flees town with the baby but crashes her car en route. At dinner, Glenn discovers Frankie is Jennifer's tutor. After Glenn cancels, Alice invites Frankie instead. While Glenn dances with Jennifer, Frankie fantasizes about her before awkwardly leaving. Steve and Kayla grow closer as he comforts her after Duke's violence, promising to protect her.
