As Kim is taken away, she tells Shane she’ll always love him. He vows to fight the verdict and rebuild their future. Before sentencing, he comforts her with the locket and ring symbolizing Andrew and their bond. Later, Steve seeks solace with Kayla, and they sit by the fire, sharing their mutual pain. Adrienne returns Steve’s toy train, disappointed in him. Steve confronts Jo, demanding to know why she gave him and his brother away. Jo tearfully explains she surrendered them to protect them from Duke after the fire made it unsafe. Steve leaves shaken, unable to accept her reasoning. Jennifer wears Glenn’s class ring while Frankie watches jealously. Mike and Robin celebrate ethics approval for his leukemia project, though Dr. Wilson threatens to pursue his lawsuit anyway.
