Steve goes to the Emergency Center and walks in to find Adrienne there helping Kayla out. Kayla is out the back with a patient and Steve demands to know what Adrienne is doing there and says she is following him. Adrienne points out that she got here first and says she's just helping Kayla out. Steve knows she's up to something and says he is going to find out what it is, but meantime he wants her to leave Kayla out of it. Steve warns her to stay away from Kayla and as he's finishing Kayla comes back and demands to know what Steve thinks he's doing. They get into an argument and Steve asks if she's now hiring people off the street. Kayla tells him Adrienne's name and says she came to volunteer. Steve asks how Kayla knows she can trust Adrienne with the drugs and things she's got around. Kayla tells him she trusts her instincts when it comes to people and tells him he's a fine one to talk about trust.
