Steve and Kayla play cat‑and‑mouse at Shenanigans. She needles him until he smiles, then unknowingly orders his “usual” breakfast—beer with a raw egg—and forces herself to drink it. Steve denies they share anything and leaves; Kayla follows him to a bar, learns pool, and impresses him. Later on the pier, he warms her with his arms and they nearly kiss, unaware Adrienne is watching. Roman and Marlena delay packing for their ski trip, enjoying being close again. Shane asks for a press conference to counter Vaughn’s smear campaign, but Roman refuses—until Marlena insists Vaughn must be exposed. They surprise Shane and Gillian with a TV crew, and Marlena delivers a powerful interview. Vaughn arrives mid‑broadcast, resigns, and clashes with Shane. Alice comforts Marlena afterward, who admits she’s still traumatised. As Roman and Marlena leave to collect the kids, Orpheus triggers the bomb hidden in the photo box. The house explodes, throwing Roman back as he screams for Marlena.
