Kim confronts Shane about visiting Emma, while he and Gillian work the case. At the loft, Roman and Steve fight until Kayla appears and Steve flees. Frankie helps him hide, but Kayla finds him and begs him to trust her. Roman tells Shane he’ll work with the ISA to find Marlena. Back at the loft, Steve returns; Roman agrees to question him fairly, and Steve admits he came back because of Kayla. Pete considers buying a camcorder from Nick as Melissa grows closer to Lars. Kim worries Shane no longer cares about Andrew. Shane later tells Roman he’s using Emma’s feelings because she’s the only one who knows where Andrew is. Kayla explains Steve ran because he fears being framed. Roman insists he needs Steve. Steve returns, denies killing Britta, and Roman lets him go for now.
