Jen grows jealous when she sees Glen surrounded by girls, but later they reconcile after Glen admits his mother pressures him to be like his late brother. Calliope and Jake track Eugene to Palm Springs, only to be captured by the eccentric professor holding him hostage. Kim waits anxiously at the station as Shane and Abe interrogate Emma. Jamie, the nurse, identifies Emma as the fake relief nurse from Andrew’s kidnapping, but Emma denies knowing Dennison or Harris and demands her lawyer. Shane and Kim run a bluff with a staged call from Cleveland, cornering Emma into nearly making a deal — until she realises it’s a setup and shuts down. Kim, exhausted and furious, begs Shane to let her confront Emma, but he insists on a controlled plan. Emma is finally charged with suspicion of kidnapping, yet still refuses to reveal where Andrew is. Kim breaks down, terrified they may never find her son, and Shane promises he won’t let her lose hope.
