Roman asks Kayla to renew Britta’s antibiotics, unaware Steve is listening. At home, Britta hides as Steve breaks in, furious she left him under Victor’s threats. Alice invites Victor, Bo and Hope to dinner to gauge Bo’s happiness; Victor announces Bo will be sent to Europe, shocking Hope. Steve secretly warns Bo that Britta is back and terrified. Bo asks Victor not to harm her; Victor agrees but demands Bo take the Europe assignment. Victor then goes to Roman’s house and threatens Britta, forcing her to reveal Roman’s meeting with Billings. Roman waits on the pier but finds Billings dying—murmuring “Three Knives.” Hope tells Bo she won’t stay if he goes to Europe, forcing him to choose between her and Victor. Kayla, shaken by Billings’s death, lets Steve walk her home. Roman confides in unconscious Marlena, unsure what the clue means.
