Mike and Robin grow closer as he surprises her with a playful “hospital beach,” and she finally secures a heart for Randy Slater. Jen can’t stop thinking about Glen after he saved her, but misreads a call and briefly believes he’s seeing someone else. Kim, exhausted and heartsick, goes to Shane; they make love and promise honesty and trust. But Shane’s investigation leads him to confront Emma with the doctored photo, and Emma retaliates by attacking Kim with accusations. Kim learns from Emma—not Shane—that she’s a suspect in Andrew’s kidnapping. Feeling betrayed, Kim confronts Shane for hiding the lead. Shane insists he was protecting her, but Kim sees it as another ISA “case” and storms out, unsure she can trust him anymore.
