The doctor finally arrives and demands $50,000 for a two‑month‑old boy; they get two days to produce the money. Kayla checks on Steve’s head injury, frustrated she didn’t notice Andrew’s abductor on her flight. Steve reports her movements to someone by phone, and Emma pressures him to learn what Kayla saw. Kayla vents to Chris, and Steve bristles seeing them together. In NYC, Melissa wakes up awkwardly in the shared room with Lars. Britta suddenly appears, terrified of being killed, and Melissa helps her escape a Soviet agent by hiding him in a laundry cart. Pete grows jealous and confused. Lars thanks Melissa for saving Britta, and she comforts him.
