Carrie disappears again, and Roman realizes she’s gone to see comatose Marlena. At the hospital, Carrie tearfully begs Marlena not to leave her; Roman comforts her, though she refuses to go home with him unless Marlena does. Shane and Hope dig through Cleveland adoption ads after Eugene’s “vision” that Andrew was handed to someone with money. Ivy reveals Victor funded the dance company, and Melissa confronts Pete, then quits after Lars admits Victor forced him to take her. Lars later urges her not to let Victor control her future. Jennifer overworks at the hospital out of guilt until Glenn convinces her she helped save Matt. Roman, devastated but determined, returns to the police force. Shane asks Hope to pose as a desperate adoptive parent; she hesitates. Roman stays by Marlena’s side, promising to be with her in spirit as he resumes duty.
