Roman tells Marlena living together isn’t working, Carrie is hurting, and he feels pressured by memories he can’t access. Marlena begs him to stay, but he insists distance might help him feel like himself. They kiss, and Carrie sees, fleeing upstairs. Roman packs to leave, but Marlena admits she feels hollow without him. He goes, then returns for the ballet poster and finds her crying. When she says the best thing for her is him staying, he agrees. At the studio, Pete grabs Lars when he yells at Melissa, but she insists Lars is helping her improve. Calliope ropes Eugene, Jen and Glen into Newlywed Game practice. Carrie lies about staying with Anna; Marlena lets her go for a few days. Melissa impresses Lars, who urges her to dance with emotion. Roman leaves again, then returns when Marlena admits she wants him home. Meanwhile, Abe questions Savannah about Tod’s sobriety, and Liz and Jared push the case forward. Alice reassures Marlena she has the strength to weather the chaos.
