Bo struggles to accept John as Roman while Roman tries to piece together his past, frustrated by the gaps in his memory. Marlena reassures him he’ll remember in time. At the hospital, Kim and Shane are thrilled Andrew is improving but both are anxious about the paternity tests. Caroline assumes Kim will go home with Shane, but Kim says she can’t until the results are back. Shane asks her to move home; she wants to, but refuses until they know the truth. Bo visits Roman, still uneasy, wanting to talk only when Roman remembers their shared past. Victor presses Neil for test results. Neil tells Kim she can be discharged—and Shane arrives in a tux, inviting her to the gala. He gives her a dress, puts her ring back on her finger, and they visit Andrew before leaving. At the gala, Liz is stunned when Carl Anderson appears and they sing Friends and Lovers, while Kim and Shane quietly relive Andrew’s birth together.
