Melissa nervously starts rehearsal at the new Salem Ballet, where Lars is harsh and keeps her after class. Patch wakes to find Britta gone; Lars fears the KGB took her. Britta, preparing to flee, leaves notes for Patch and Lars saying she must leave for everyone’s sake. Kim wakes on Victor’s shoulder to KGB guns; Victor tries negotiating but they plan to take him. Upstairs, Shane hides, knocks out Ingrid, then another agent, and reaches Kim. He’s shaken, thinking she died in the crash, and tries to get her out before the KGB wake. Kim has a sudden pain—she insists it’s a false contraction. Outside, Ingrid revives and alerts the others. As Shane helps Kim toward the exit, the KGB storm in. Nearby, Victor tells the agents he’ll lead them to the Pawn if they spare Kim—but they can do whatever they want with Shane.
