Steve sneaks into Britta’s room and kisses her; she says she’s almost ready to leave. In the wilderness, John carries Marlena to a cave and worries her infected hand is worsening. He asks her to hypnotise him; under trance he sees a ranger cabin morph into a KGB command room and spots Ingrid, snapping out in anger. Bo, Hope & Shane find a campsite and rest until a helicopter appears then realise Kim and Victor are aboard. Marlena bolts from the cave; John tackles her, and Victor spots them from the air. He orders the pilot to drop him and return Kim to Salem, but she fights him, the pilot loses control, and the chopper crashes. Marlena wants to help; John refuses. Shane and Hope later see Kim and Victor being marched away at gunpoint. Shane goes after them while Hope searches for Bo, only to run straight into a mountain lion. Meanwhile, Kim and Victor are held by the KGB beneath the ranger cabin, told they’ll be killed; Kim knocks over a stool so Shane can locate them.
