Marlena drifts in and out of delirium, muttering Roman and Stefano’s names as John tries to lower her fever, tormented by the past he fears he lived. Shane finally gets his communicator working and signals Peachy: John Black is Stefano, Marlena is hostage, and their raft capsized. Peachy receives the message but collapses before she can tell Kim. Caroline confronts Victor about tormenting Kim; he insists nothing will stop him claiming the child. Peachy is rushed to hospital with a mild stroke, able only to say Shane’s name. Kim tries to reassure her but grows more frantic about Shane’s disappearance. In the wilderness, Bo wants to charge after “Stefano,” but Hope and Shane convince him to wait for ISA backup. Marlena’s fever breaks; she tries to flee, but John insists she’s too weak. When he leaves to find food, she escapes—only for John to return and discover she’s gone.
