John calls Marlena, panicked, asking for money so he can flee Salem. She agrees and heads to his apartment for clothes. After a day with Steve, Britta wants to find Lars; Steve panics when she suggests they get a place together, and she leaves hurt. Shane tells Bo and Hope his plan to bug Victor’s house and use Britta to get a confession. At the mine, Jen and Eli wait anxiously as Abe and Mickey dig. Britta overhears Victor ordering Steve’s elimination and rushes to Bo, begging them to find him; she agrees to help nail Victor. Mike and Robin, trapped, find a shaft of air and kiss just before rescue arrives. Robin pulls away afterward. Shane and Bo return with Steve handcuffed. Britta goes to Victor, asking to speak privately. Marlena enters John’s apartment, is tied up by Kate and Nick, but John sneaks in, knocks Nick out, and helps her escape. He insists they both must leave Salem immediately.
