Caroline goes to Victor’s and begs him not to destroy her family. He demands she join him on a business trip to San Francisco; she agrees if he keeps Bo’s paternity secret. She tells Shawn she’s visiting a sick aunt. At Tod’s funeral, Liz shows little emotion until Pete arrives and she throws him out. Savannah is wheeled past and becomes hysterical when she realises Tod is dead. Later, Liz goes to her bar, tries to sing, and breaks down. Robin gets the flu; Mike takes her home, but Robert and Eli both interfere, arguing again when they arrive at the house together. Savannah privately admits the accident was her fault. Caroline returns to Victor’s with her bags; he says he wants a “new beginning,” but when she makes clear she’s only doing this to protect her family, he rejects her and, furious, hurls his brandy across the room.
