John asks Marlena if her offer to help still stands; she hypnotises him, but he panics at a vision of a drab Anna and refuses to explain. Jen learns Tod has been in a terrible accident and rushes to the hospital. Mike and Robin operate on him, knowing the odds are bad. Savannah is injured but stable. Liz arrives and is devastated to hear Tod had been drunk. Alice finds stolen test answers in Jen’s purse and she and Tom confront her, planning to take her to the principal. Jen sneaks out to deliver more copies to the kids. John meets Anna at Shenanigans and learns she once worked as Stefano’s plain, mousy secretary. He tells Marlena the pieces of his past are starting to fit—and he doesn’t like what he’s finding. Tod briefly wakes and asks Liz to sing; as she does, he dies. Marlena calls Chris, Melissa, Pete and Jen with the news.
