Caroline asks Kim why Shane left; Kim says he walked out because she lied, and she blames Caroline for pushing her into old patterns. She warns her mother that lies always come due, then tells her to leave. At Shenanigans, Carrie admits John scares her, so Marlena joins him for ice cream instead. Bo worries he’s partly responsible for Kim’s unhappiness, but Hope insists the tension is between Kim and Caroline. Hope then asks about Britta; Bo promises he feels only contempt for her and no one will come between him and Hope. John and Marlena walk the pier, triggering John’s memory of owning a boat. After Marlena leaves, John talks with Caroline as she reminisces about her children. Bo visits Kim, asking what’s going on with Victor and Caroline. Kim begs him to stop digging, but Bo insists Victor is destroying the Brady family—and Caroline is somehow involved.
