Kim and Shane grow close again over breakfast, but John’s delay leaves Kim heading home alone. Jennifer panics after admitting she stole an exam and spread copies around school. Marlena finds John reading his Stefano file and senses he’s hiding something. Calliope’s “business pitch” is really a setup to match Anna with John. At Victor’s, Emma learns Kim was on her way to an abortion when she crashed and tells Victor, who immediately summons Kim. Shane breaks into Victor’s security room; John catches him, and when Shane mentions the Pawn, John lets him turn on the monitors—just in time to see Kim arrive. Marlena confronts Savannah for staging the attack scene, then warns Alex to stay away from her. John later discovers the phoenix tattoo on his back and fears he may be Stefano.
