Bo cradles Hope’s “dead” body after Patch’s staged shooting, forcing Shane to call off the KGB deal—until it’s revealed the death was faked to throw them off. In Salem, Pete and Melissa return from their honeymoon as Kimberly’s crashed car is found; she’s alive but barely. Neil rushes her into emergency surgery, and Savannah and Marlena call a truce while waiting for news. Caroline blames herself, terrified for Kim and the baby. Ian shows up at Pete and Melissa’s home, but Maggie intervenes and warns Melissa to cut ties. Britta refuses to return to America, so Patch and Bo forcibly take her. Kimberly slips into a coma, and a shrine to Melissa is shown in Ian’s apartment. Caroline delivers the devastating news to Shane, who learns Kim may not survive.
