Jennifer confides in Todd about her parents, and he admits he killed his own father. Inspired, Jennifer tries to be kind to Cheryl and Veronica by offering to get them a test copy, winning their approval. At the hospital, Mike vents to Neil about being suspected as the rapist but goes to apologize to Robin—just as she’s attacked. The rapist escapes, leaving behind a ski mask, and Robin clears Mike of suspicion. Robin thanks Mike for saving her, and they begin to soften toward each other. Meanwhile, Liz struggles with her career and prepares a dinner party for Neil, but is unsettled by a persistent stranger, Gary, at a restaurant.
