Javiera makes a surprising declaration to Max. During an encounter, they run into Manuel and Teresa, creating a very awkward moment. At one point in the conversation, Max belittles Javiera's work as a mother, and Teresa and Manuel defend her. Back home, Max arrives shouting at Manuel and calling him "poor." Javiera reacts by saying that she also felt ignored by him. It is at this moment that Max says that she likes Manuel, and Javiera responds with a "yes." Meanwhile, Amanda overhears her grandfather saying that her mother's "lover" is Manuel, which surprises the teenager, who immediately states that she doesn't want her parents to get back together. Amanda argues that they didn't get along and are not being honest about their feelings.
