Mickaël Philétas grew up in a matriarchal culture. He believes his mother robbed him of his father's masculinity. And this mindset stays with him throughout his life; it defines his relationships. When his girlfriend, Mélanie Ghione, breaks up with him after three years, he feels so deeply rejected that he radicalizes. He becomes increasingly entangled in his tunnel vision of masculinism.
