One of the most infamous pirates to prowl America's Gulf Coast--Jean Lafitte--led what may have been the largest pirate fleet in the world. Known as "The Terror of the Gulf" he was more than a pirate... he was a crime boss, rich beyond belief, and just as ruthless. But the whereabouts of Jean Lafitte's treasure remain unknown. The swamps and bayous were his base, and likely also his hiding place. But treasure hunters have found very little of Lafitte's stash.
