Can custom CX50 speakers fix the Beosystem 10 (2025x8)

The internal volume of the Beosystem 10 portable stereo is severely limited by its speakers - apparently this limitation doesn't apply to external speakers - I tested this out with some customised refurb B&O CX50 speakers.
