We begin Poland's second episode with a people subjugated by three powerful empires, the so called "Great Crime" of the Polish Partitions. With Napoleon Bonaparte and the Polish poets inspiring a nationalistic sentiment in the population, this central European people would face their greatest test, while being flung into the 20th Century.
